Northshore Power Systems Introduces Honeywell Portable Home Generators

[2008-03-23]

Milwaukee, Wis. – March 25, 2008 – Northshore Power Systems (NSPS) is pleased to announce that its new line of Honeywell Portable Home Generators will be available to consumers this June.

More than 100 million homeowners already use Honeywell home comfort products, but now Northshore Power Systems is extending that reach to include Honeywell Portable and Home Standby generators.

From a brand that consumers already know and trust – to product design leveraging automotive industry expertise – to packaging that uses visual, consumer-friendly icons – to industry leading warranties and parts inventory, Northshore Power Systems is using its decades of industry experience to bring consumers high quality, durable, efficient and affordably priced generators.

Picking out a portable home generator has never been easy – until now. Packaging for the generators features a system of icons that indicate which appliances can be powered by a given unit.  The packaging also includes information on a hotline number that aids consumers through the start-up process if they need help when disaster strikes. To further assist consumers when they need it most – at the time of a power outage – Honeywell Portable Generators come with essentials such as color-coded starting controls, a water-resistant start-up instruction card attached to the generator, never-flat wheels, a high-leverage handle for maximum mobility, 4-in-1 power cord, a liter of oil and a funnel.

The portable generators, which come in six different models, provide users with up to eight hours of runtime on 6.5 gallons of gas.  Depending on the model, the generator can power as many as 12 appliances at the same time.

The generators are powered by Honeywell™ Big-Bore OHV Engines with horsepower ratings from 6.5 to 15, continuous watts from 3,500 to 7,500 and maximum watts ranging from 4,375 to 9,375. The generators also feature a simplified power control center, low-oil protection, an oversized muffler engineered for quiet operation, fuel gauge, overload protection and automatic voltage regulation.  Plus, the product line is supported by a national service network, and backed by industry-leading warranties and parts inventories.
